Rob Gronkowski was born on May 14, 1989 in Rochester, New York to parents Galynn and Greg. His father played college football at the University of Illinois and had been drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 19th round (founding member of the team) of the 1983 NFL Draft but never made it into an NFL roster due to an injury he sustained during practice. Rob’s mother worked as a special education teacher until she retired to become a full-time mother for her sons.
Rob attended Williamsville North High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and soccer.
